If you thought dealing with members of a street gang (in their natural street habitat) was both extremely difficult and dangerous, try dealing with them after they have made a presence INSIDE of a school; its far worse. Since 2003, GRAAFICS has achieved success in addressing the challenge of gang in schools.
In extreme instances we offer our reality check program.
This services is offered to schools by working with the school’s leader, the schools senior administrative team and teachers to identify current and/or potential gang members that actively attend the school. Once identified, they are then placed into classes facilitated by certified GRAAFICS trainers whom are former high ranking gang members (from the same gangs that they are currently members of) that made the successful transition.
Step One: Is building a trusting and productive relationship with them.
Step Two: Providing them with a measurable, touchable, feel-able reason to discontinue gang life.

The Data
When contracted for two of more years, 60% of our active gang members successfully transition to ‘inactive’ status. 15% undecided on their future status. From schools unaffected by gang activity, 25% and 15% may not seem like much. However, from schools plagued, these numbers mean a reduction in school incidents, increases in attendance, grades, test scores and graduations.
