Released And Coming Home To Something Different
Reentry services at GRAAFICS looks very different than the everyday, copy and paste reentry models that have proven ineffective yet habitually replicated. At GRAAFICS, we look both at and within the formerly incarcerated person, the person's family and the person's community to identify how factors therein may have contributed to incarceration/recidivism. We then challenge the formerly incarcerated person to partner with us in the design of a new pattern of behaviors.
Goal:
To address the invisible and underlying factors that are directly correlated to the behaviors that lead to initial incarceration and recidivism within communities of color.
Who Will Benefit From This Course?
Anyone that has recently been released from detention, jail and/or prison confinement, that is genuinely interested in addressing and changing the behaviors that contributed to their confinement.
'Reentry' Training Description
Partnering with us means hiring us to build your program and empowering you to take over afterwards. This entails us coming in to do an assessment, creating an action plan, customizing your service, building your program, setting up the operations, training your staff, then we step away and let you run it.
